Overview
Brillantmont International School is one of the oldest schools in Switzerland. It was founded in 1882 and is still owned by the founding family. What makes Brillantmont special is not only its location in the heart of the vibrant city of Lausanne but also its size, which creates a strong sense of community, a real home from home, in which boys and girls aged 13-18 learn and develop in a warm, supportive environment.
Brillantmont offers internationally recognised courses leading to British IGCSE, AS and A Level examinations or a US High School Graduation Diploma with SAT. On completion of their studies, Brillantmont students enter universities all over the world. An average class size of 9 students ensures that students receive maximum teacher attention.
A strong extra-curricular programme provides opportunities for leadership (Student House Leaders, TEDx, MUN), for belonging to a sports team or fulfilling creative potential through art, vocal club or rock band. Students can participate in humanitarian work through Habitat for Humanity.

At Brillantmont, we welcome a small group of day students, who live with their parents in the local area. Day students are fully integrated into the school and are encouraged to take full advantage of the activities offered within the boarding school. The total fees per year ranges from CHF 31’500 to CHF 37’500
Boarding school tuition
We want our students to enjoy a full boarding and learning experience and take advantage of the numerous opportunities we offer beyond the classroom. For this reason, many things are included in our school fees. The total yearly fees in 2023-2024 ranges from CHF 90’500 to CHF 103’500.

Boarding
You’ll live in a boarding house with other students of the same gender. The boarding floors within a house are organised by age, with different rules for different ages. A teacher lives on the floor with you and is there to support you and take care of you.
Our rooms are very comfortable and large: you will share a room with one or two other students from a different nationality. This means that you will find a common language for communication and learn about another culture. We’re sure you’ll make some great friends and keep in contact in years to come. Many of the rooms overlook the lake and the Alps, so you’ll wake up to spectacular views. All buildings have security codes in order to guarantee your safety.
Except in one house, all students share a bathroom (about 3-4 students per bathroom). The bathrooms are large and spacious and have all that you need.
All your meals will be taken in our dining room, which is a large, beautiful space. You have a choice of a vegetarian or a meat menu and we take into account any special dietary needs you may have.
