A lively crowd of school community members and the public gathered to witness the launch of the Montana-designed e-bus, created in collaboration with Zugerland Verkehrsbetriebe (ZVB). As part of the initiative, Montana will donate to the GGZ Nonprofit Foundation Zug for every kilometre the bus travels over the next 13 months—a gesture of gratitude toward the community. The e-bus not only commemorates an important moment in the school’s history but also reflects Montana’s strong commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
The ceremony opened with speeches by Institut Montana’s Chairman, Alexander Biner, followed by ZVB CEO Cyrill Weber and GGZ Managing Director Maria Hügin. After the addresses, a countdown and Montana’s My Place to Grow theme song set the scene for the ribbon-cutting moment. Students cut the ribbon, confetti burst into the air, glasses were raised, and guests shared a joyful celebration.
Beginning the following week, the e-bus will enter service on the main ZVB lines across the region.
The event also received coverage from Zuger Zeitung and a full gallery of photos is available online on Institut Montana’s article page.
