We are excited to announce the reopening of House 2, marking a significant milestone in our campus development since its original opening on 3 September 2001.
For over two decades, House 2 has been a central hub for learning, originally housing a library, computer lab, science laboratories, administrative offices, an art centre, music rooms, and 18 classrooms. At that time, BBIS supported just over 300 students within its walls.
Fast forward to 2024, and our community has grown to over 900 students. To accommodate this growth and adapt to the evolving educational landscape, House 2 has undergone extensive renovations over the past two years. These renovations not only align the building with our new Primary and Secondary School facilities but also introduce updated features that reflect our commitment to innovative education and to providing the best possible learning environment for our community.
The refurbishment includes updated learning spaces, a modern visual arts centre, a dedicated design and technology area, a makerspace, and a two-storey cafeteria with a fully equipped kitchen – ensuring our students have the ideal environment to thrive.
Renovation work began in the summer of 2022 and has been completed in time for the start of this academic year. We are happy to offer you a first look at this updated space.
In the coming months, we’ll be completing the outdoor areas, including additional seating and a new playground for our Primary School students.
We are excited to see our students thrive in these modern, collaborative spaces.
