On Thursday 28 and Friday 29 August, BISP’s BTEC Sport students set off on their first trip of the academic year, travelling to Khao Lak for a one-night residential trip designed to strengthen teamwork and collaboration.

Hosted by the Avani Hotel, the programme featured a variety of team-building activities and beach games, including towel beach volleyball, ultimate frisbee, relay races and water tower challenges. Students threw themselves into every task, developing the communication and cooperation skills that are central to success on the BTEC course.

The trip was also an important opportunity for Year 12 and Year 13 students to connect and build relationships ahead of working together on shared units this year. Throughout the activities, they represented BISP with pride and respect, making the most of the chance to grow as a group.

This successful start to the year has set the tone for the months ahead, giving our BTEC Sport students the confidence and skills they need to take on their new units.
