Since 1949, LAS Summer in Switzerland has offered an incredible residential summer experience at our beautiful campus in the Swiss Alps. Our program combines all the elements of an incredible summer camp, and students from all over the world connect in a safe and supportive alpine community as they enjoy classes, clubs, and exceptional summer activities.
Our much-anticipated 2024 summer camp started in June and is off to a vibrant start—our campers are already immersing themselves in various academic and creative pursuits. From languages to innovation and alpine leadership to creative writing, our dedicated instructors guide campers through a summer of experiential learning, ensuring they learn and enjoy every moment of their studies.
But the fun doesn’t end in the classroom! Leysin’s natural beauty provides the perfect setting for outdoor activities. From hiking and nature walks to mountain biking and orienteering, our campers always make the most of the stunning landscape, fostering a love for nature and the great outdoors. Our wide range of clubs and activities provide even more opportunities for our students to come together and build new friendships with people from around the world. Students can choose from a variety of fun and enriching activities, including ukulele, baking, ice-skating, sports, climbing, swimming, horseback riding, arts and crafts, and more!
Clubs have been really successful at LAS Summer in Switzerland so far. Whether hiking in the local forest and asking questions about unfamiliar plant species, playing soccer on the rooftop pitch, or cooking pizza in the dorm kitchen, it has been really heartwarming to see students including and valuing everyone. We look forward to more amazing adventures and lasting memories over the course of our unforgettable summer program.
Our campus provides a wide variety of spaces for our students to study, socialize, and make memories with new friends. Our dorms are situated just above the village of Leysin, where students can explore the local community in their free time and even practice their French speaking skills if they’re taking a language course! It is wonderful to see them exploring in small groups and experiencing this magical setting as friends brought together through this shared experience.
