SSIS has been on a transformative journey, reshaping the school to better cater to the needs of its students and staff. This summer holiday, our dedicated facilities team embarked on a series of ambitious projects, successfully completing construction on 18 major endeavors. These renovations not only aim to enrich the learning environment but also prioritize the safety and well-being of our students and staff. In just two months, our business office team overcame high temperatures, tight schedules, and concurrent construction activities to ensure a successful and on-schedule completion for the school’s renovation projects.
The refurbishments encompass a wide range of areas, including the comprehensive overhaul and enhancement of outdoor areas, landscape improvements, upgrades to the campus vehicle routes, renovations of sports and recreation facilities, and the introduction of advanced learning solutions within the classrooms… The total area of the renovation is more than 10,000 square meters.
Key Highlights of the Renovation:
- School Gate Upgrade: The school gate 1 underwent a comprehensive upgrade, not only enhancing the landscape but also improving security measures to streamline traffic flow effectively, preventing congestion and ensuring the safe passage of buses, pedestrians, and cars. Additionally, the expansion of the outer loop space facilitated smoother transportation for students.
- Secondary School Improvements: The secondary school now boasts a serene outdoor gardens, promoting creativity and well-being among students. Outdoor recreational and reading areas have been integrated, along with provisions for planting and cultivation in biology classes. Noteworthy renovations were also carried out in the secondary school bathrooms.
- Enhanced Elementary School Playground: The elementary school playground underwent a remarkable transformation, now showcasing a vibrant dragon-themed design that seamlessly blends fantasy with physical play. This imaginative setup not only encourages creative adventures but also promotes active and engaging play experiences for the students.
- Elementary School Gym Floor: The gym floor of the elementary school was revamped with a new wood floor. This upgrade not only provides a fresh and durable surface for physical activities but also includes adjustable basketball hoops and scoreboard screen, enhancing the overall sporting experience for students and promoting a dynamic and engaging environment for physical education classes and school events.
- Digital Technological Advancements: 68 classrooms now boasts smart board Maxhubs, enhancing interactive learning experiences for students. Furthermore, as part of the upcoming phase 2 projects, additional MaxHubs will be implemented, further enriching the school’s technological landscape.
Additional enhancements include improvements to the theater big screen, swimming pool heating system, drinking water systems, office and foyer spaces, resurfacing of the second football field, and roof waterproofing. A heartfelt appreciation is extended to our dedicated business office team, whose tireless efforts throughout the summer ensured our readiness for the upcoming academic year.
