Welcome to another lively update from our school community!
Last week, we celebrated a magical World Book Day in Primary. If you wandered through the corridors and around campus on Friday, you might have caught a glimpse of vibrant costumes, a sprinkle of mystery, and some truly eye-opening detective conversations. From the mischievous duo Thing 1 and Thing 3 bouncing around, to the enchanting world of Hogwarts characters, plus an assortment of princesses, pirates, and Wimpy Kid himself—it was like stepping right into the pages of our favourite stories.
But this year, World Book Day came with an exciting twist: a mystery to be solved! Imagine the surprise when Mrs. Saliah’s Headteacher Award mysteriously vanished, transforming her office into a crime scene! Our budding little detectives gathered clues, examined evidence, and followed the leads with keen eyes and sharp minds. After an investigation filled with unexpected turns, the finger pointed to an unexpected culprit: none other than the Fantastic Mr. Fox!
Events like this remind us why curiosity is such a precious thing in education. When children get the chance to blend fun with learning—whether by embodying characters or solving mysteries—they engage more deeply, think critically, and feel inspired about their own futures. Let’s continue to embrace curiosity, explore the world through stories, and watch as our children grow into their own literary heroes!
Until next time, happy reading!
