Academics
At Southpointe Academy, students are nurtured to become passionate, engaged learners prepared for a successful future in an ever-changing world. The school’s educational program combines the strength of the British Columbia curriculum with the globally respected International Baccalaureate (IB) programme, empowering students to take ownership of their learning and develop future-ready skills.
As an IB Continuum World School, Southpointe is proud to offer all three IB programmes: the Primary Years Programme (Kindergarten–Grade 5), Middle Years Programme (Grades 6–10), and Diploma Programme (Grades 11–12). Southpointe is one of the few schools in Canada—and the only school in Delta—authorized to deliver the full IB Continuum from Kindergarten through Grade 12.
Beyond academics, Southpointe emphasizes the development of character and resilience through a rich array of enrichment opportunities. Students are encouraged to explore cultural, creative, athletic, and leadership pursuits that help build confidence, communication skills, a spirit of service, and personal initiative—qualities that will serve them well in school and in life.
Extra curricular
At Southpointe, education goes beyond the classroom. Our wide range of extra-curricular programs—spanning clubs, co-curriculars, and athletics—helps students develop confidence, leadership, and a strong sense of community.
Clubs & Co-Curricular Activities
From Junior to Senior School, students have access to a rich variety of clubs and activities that support their personal growth and passions. These include:
Junior School: STEM, Public Speaking, Baking, Golf, and more.
Middle School: Student Council, Model United Nations, Robotics, Jazz Band, Musical Theatre, Rock Climbing, and more.
Senior School: Arts Council, Environmental Council, Mental Health Advocacy Club, Theatre Club, Senior Student Council, and more.

Sport is a vital part of student life at Southpointe, fostering well-being, teamwork, and perseverance. Student-athletes benefit from access to top-tier training facilities where they can grow, compete, and excel.
Southpointe teams compete in leagues such as ISEA, GVISSA, DSSAA, SFAA, and BC Provincials. Beginning with foundational skill-building in Grades 3–7, students progress to competitive play in junior and senior levels (Grades 8–12), representing Southpointe across the region and province.
