Overview
Reddam House Berkshire is a co-educational, independent school that aspires to excellence in education for girls and boys from three months to 18 years old. This truly majestic school is conveniently located near Wokingham in the English countyside of Berkshire, a vibrant hub with easy access to the M3, M4, Heathrow and London.Reddam House Berkshire is renowned for its academic, cultural and sporting excellence. It has a strong, recognisable culture that acknowledges a community of students who are nurtured as individuals, with their distinct attributes, traits and strengths celebrated.
Housed in a magnificent Victorian mansion and surrounded by 125 acres of stunning woods and parkland, few schools have the luxury of the physical space and facilities that Reddam House students benefit from.
The broad range of subjects creates a curriculum that accentuates independent inquiry. Students study up to 11 GCSEs with a free choice outside of the core subjects of Maths, English and Science. All students are encouraged to take on the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), highly regarded by universities as demonstrating students’ preparedness for undergraduate study.
Exam results in 2021 were outstanding with 62% of A level grades awarded being A*/A, and 63% of GCSE results being 9 –7. The vast majority of students go on to higher education, with recent destinations including Cambridge, UCL and Manchester.
Boarding
Reddam House offers a range of flexible boarding options for students age 8 to 18, including full and weekly boarding, extended days, regular and ad-hoc stays.
The Boarding Schools Association (BSA) awarded the Boarding Innovation Award to Reddam House for their seamless transition to virtual learning in 2020, praising the speed and creativity shown to keep the boarding community connected through technology and innovation.

Beyond the Classroom
Academics is just one area in which students thrive at Reddam House Berkshire, the extensive extracurricular activities programme provides plenty of opportunities for students to explore and develop their interests.
Activities include theatre, dance, drama and music, screen printing, photography and computing. Regular sports fixtures take place in rugby, hockey, football, cricket, netball, rounders, swimming, tennis, basketball, golf, cross country and judo.
The huge range of enrichment activities is a vital part of life at Reddam House. They offer students the chance to become equipped for the outside world, encouraging teamwork, independent thinking, respect, and cooperation.

Scholarships
We run a very competitive scholarship process for entry into Years 7, 9 and 12. These are given in the fields of Academics, Art (Year 9 & 12), Sport and Performance. We only award a small number of scholarships in each discipline and these recognise excellence in a student’s chosen field. They confer a maximum of 20% fee remission and apply to the tuition element of fees only (not boarding).
Boarding
We have 3 boarding houses on our campus:
• The Loft – Boys in Year 7 to Year 10
• Drake – Girls in Year 7 to Year 10
• Blake – Girls and Boys in Year 11 to Year 13
We have a full programme of activities that run at weekends for our boarders, these include movie nights, theatre trips, visits to museums, ice skating, paintballing, trips to historic places such as London, Oxford, etc, shopping trips plus activities on the school campus.
Facilities
Our campus facilities include: a 25m heated swimming pool, a brand new 4G Hockey Astro pitch, 5 Netball courts, 4 outdoor tennis courts and multiple rugby, football and cricket pitches. In addition students benefit from athletics facilities and pavilion, clay pigeon shooting and an indoor shooting range. Students can also play golf at the neighbouring golf course and horse riding at stables nearby. In addition the Autumn Term of 2025 we will be opening our new Sport England standard sports hall.
Our 350 seat theatre for drama and performance houses our dance studio, music rooms and recording studio. We offer tuition on a variety of instruments and students have the opportunity to sit exams, take part in concerts and performances throughout the academic year either on or off site.
