This UWC Day – and International Day of Peace – 21 September, we came together under the theme “Action for Peace: Planet, People” to celebrate the diversity and connections that make our community special. We began with a Socratic seminar on peace led by our alumnus Amir Bergen (Russia, UWCD’20). With Independence Day of Armenia coinciding, we welcomed 100 students from Children of Armenia Fund (COAF) with activities led by our Armenian students and staff. Our much-loved flag parade followed, and the day continued with the United World Market, where students prepared and shared traditional dishes from around the world. Proceeds from the market will go to UNICEF.
