Takapuna Normal Intermediate School maakt sinds 2010 deel uit van het International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) en werd in 2013 een volledig geaccrediteerde IB PYP-school. In de afgelopen 10 jaar is TNIS blijven ontwikkelen wat het betekent om internationaal georiënteerde leerlingen te creëren door authentieke leerervaringen en mogelijkheden aan te bieden. Het PYP sluit nauw aan bij ons schoolmotto: ‘Actie, Verbinding, Uitmuntendheid’. Het stimuleert sterke banden tussen leerlingen, leerkrachten en de leergemeenschap, onze leerlingen ondernemen actie met betrekking tot kwesties die zich tijdens het leren voordoen en het is een curriculum dat uitstekende leermogelijkheden biedt die door de leerling worden aangestuurd.

TNIS biedt speciale Technologielessen met praktijkgericht leren van experts op zes verschillende gebieden: Voeding, wetenschap, materiaaltechnologie, STEAM, podiumkunst en beeldende kunst.
En je vindt een breed scala aan mogelijkheden voor sport, muziek en academische prestaties.
We hebben uitstekende leerfaciliteiten met uitgebreide rugby- en netbalvelden, een scala aan gymnastiekspullen, specialistische ruimtes, een gerenoveerde schoolhal en een bibliotheek.
