Het concept van op afstand leren of homeschooling zoals het wordt genoemd, is geen nieuwe. Vanaf het einde van de jaren zestig tot vroege jaren 1970 voor sommigen, is schoolhervorming en de manier waarop we onze jongeren gaan opleiden sinds die tijd een primaire focus was voor leraren, leiders van schooldistricten en producenten van leercurriculum.
