Spark School is a hybrid international High School, launched by Transylvania College, offering the Cambridge International Curriculum. EDUCATIONAL MODEL
Our mission is to create a supportive and innovative environment for our students by following a progressive 21st-century educational model.
While academic progress is significant for future success, we aim to develop students as a whole. Spark School builds on the experience of Transylvania College, one of the few British Schools Overseas (BSO) and Cambridge International accredited schools. The Four Strands Educational Model:

ACADEMICS
We choose top-quality teachers who follow a modern, innovative, and inspiring learning model which challenges the status quo. Our Staff is trained in online education and can use online teaching methods that are engaging and relevant.

WELLBEING
Our program develops programs adapted to children’s needs regarding body, mind, heart, and spiritual wellbeing. We believe that the future of education lies in supporting all members of our community: students, parents, and staff.

LEADERSHIP
Transylvania College accredits Spark School to develop and implement the Leader in Me Process. This means that the school staff is trained in the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and Leader in Me Practices and uses these in their everyday activities.

GLOBAL AWARENESS
We encourage and support students to develop a soft-skills toolkit essential for success in a global society. Students have the opportunity to participate in international conferences, expeditions, and initiatives that provide them with the knowledge and understanding of a global community.

Academics

The Spark curriculum principles are underpinned by the assurance of equality of access and opportunity to learn and achieve progress. They simultaneously promote academic achievement and personal growth.

We offer students worldwide IGCSE and AS/A level. The courses are available to support students working towards completing Cambridge IGCSE and Cambridge International AS and A-Level examinations from the Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) exam board. The International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) is an English language based examination developed by the University of Cambridge International Examinations. Students usually study for IGCSE for two years, starting in Year 10 and take the exam at the end of Year 11.Students receive IGCSE qualifications for each subject individually and prepare them for their A-level certifications.

Advanced level qualifications (A level Exams) are subject-based qualifications developed by the University of Cambridge International Examinations. Students must have at least 5 IGCSE qualifications in order to take the A-level Exams.
Students usually study three or more subjects over the course of two years, starting in Year 12. By taking A-level exams, students are prepared to apply to a wide range of top universities and colleges across the world. Are you ready for a great life experience?

Spark School is a new schooling concept created to respond to the challenges in traditional methods of teaching and learning. Its ‘Fit for Future Education’ hybrid model offers students the flexibility to choose and master their educational path. As such, Spark School integrates academic development, well-being, leadership, and global education with university admissions and career guidance so that students have numerous opportunities to explore their future careers and lifestyles.

Spark School has introduced several unique innovations to the sector:

  • four stranded education models - academics, leadership, wellbeing and global education - that offer holistic development for every student.
  • one-stop shop for all students’ learning and development needs - flexible, adapted to their lifestyle - built around young people and how their brains learn.
  • nurturing partnerships with schools to create a global educational network that brings together students from all over the world. The
    School offers a tool to enable education leaders to think beyond ‘business-as-usual’, overcome the shortage of highly qualified teachers,
    complement/expand their curriculum and deliver it to students, regardless of their physical location.
