At J Addison School, we continuously seek opportunities to enrich our students’ experience through diverse activities. This past month, we had the privilege of hosting two remarkable international events that connected our students with peers and athletes from around the world, fostering global engagement and cultural exchange.
On October 23rd, our Girls Elite Basketball Team competed against Europe Exodus, an all-star team from Europe. This highly competitive game ended in our favor after an intense tie, providing invaluable lessons in teamwork, strategy, and resilience. Our athletes embraced the challenge and enjoyed the chance to meet and compete with international peers, further broadening their horizons both on and off the court.
A week later, on October 30th, students from Grades 9 and 10 welcomed visitors from St. Clere’s School in the UK, who were touring Ontario. The day was filled with collaborative and engaging activities, including fun gym games and a friendly basketball match. The spirit of sportsmanship and positivity was evident, as both schools connected through shared experiences, culminating in a lovely gathering over refreshments at Café J.
These events reflect J Addison School’s commitment to providing students with enriching global experiences. By embracing cultural diversity, we foster a harmonious and respectful learning atmosphere that prepares our students to thrive in an interconnected world. We look forward to creating more opportunities for our students to engage, learn, and grow through international collaboration.
This approach aligns with our core belief that education extends beyond the classroom, nurturing well-rounded individuals ready to embrace a global future.
