IB Diploma Programı (IBDP) nasıl yapılandırılmıştır?
Uluslararası Bakalorya Diploma Programı (IBDP), öğrencilerin iki yılın sonunda Mayıs ayında final sınavlarına girdiği, zorlu bir 2 yıllık programdır.
IBDP'de 6 ders grubu mevcuttur ve öğrenciler her ders grubundan bir ders seçerler. Sanat dersi yerine ek olarak Fen Bilimleri, Bireyler ve Toplumlar veya Diller dersi alma seçeneği de mevcuttur. IBDP seviyelere ayrılmıştır ve her öğrencinin en az 3 (ancak 4'ten fazla olmamak üzere) dersi Yüksek Seviye (HL) ve geri kalanını Standart Seviye (SL) olarak alması gerekmektedir. HL ve SL dersleri kapsam olarak farklılık gösterir, ancak aynı notlandırma kriterlerine göre daha az ders ölçülür ve öğrencilerin daha yüksek seviyede daha fazla bilgi, anlayış ve beceri göstermeleri beklenir.
Ders gruplarının yanı sıra, IBDP'nin 3 zorunlu temel unsuru vardır: Bilgi Kuramı (TOK), Genişletilmiş Deneme (EE) ve Yaratıcılık, Eylem, Hizmet (CAS). Bilgi Kuramı, öğrencilerden bilginin doğası ve bildiğimizi iddia ettiğimiz şeyleri nasıl bildiğimiz üzerine düşünmelerini ister. Sözlü bir sunum ve 1.600 kelimelik bir deneme ile değerlendirilir. Son olarak, CAS, öğrencilerin yaratıcı, fiziksel ve hayırsever/gönüllü faaliyetlere katılmalarını gerektirir.
