St. George Madrid offers a rigorous and coherent academic programme based on the British National Curriculum, from the age of 2 through to the IB Diploma Programme. Teaching and learning take place in English, ensuring full immersion and continuity for students from international and bilingual backgrounds.

In the Early Years, the school provides a warm, stimulating and child-centred learning environment where young children learn through play, exploration and structured activities. The programme focuses on developing early communication, social skills, independence and curiosity, laying strong foundations for future learning while supporting each child’s individual pace of development.

In Primary, the school follows the International Primary Curriculum (IPC), a well-established framework used by leading international schools worldwide. In Secondary, students follow the British curriculum leading to International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) qualifications. The IGCSE programme provides academic rigour, subject depth and externally benchmarked assessment, helping students to develop strong study skills and prepare effectively for the demands of pre-university education.

The IB Diploma Programme is taught in English and equips students with the academic skills, critical thinking and international perspective required to succeed at university level. It provides a natural progression from IGCSEs and prepares students for entry to both Spanish and international universities worldwide.

Languages play an important role in the academic programme.
