タカプナ・ノーマル・インターミディエイト・スクールは、2010年より国際バカロレア（IB）プライマリー・イヤーズ・プログラム（PYP）に取り組んでおり、2013年にIB PYPの正式認定校となりました。この10年間、TNISは本物の学習体験と機会を提供することで、国際的な視野を持った学習者を育てるという意味を発展させ続けてきました。PYPはTNISのスクールモットーである 「Action, Connection, Excellence 」と密接に結びついています。PYPは、学習者、教師、学習コミュニティーの強い結びつきを促し、学習者は学習を通して生じた問題に対して行動を起こし、学習者主導の優れた学習機会を提供するカリキュラムです。
課外授業
TNISでは、6つの異なる分野の専門家による体験型の特別技術クラスを開講しています： フード、サイエンス、マテリアル・テクノロジー、STEAM、パフォーマンス・アート、ビジュアル・アートです。
また、スポーツ、音楽、学業達成のための幅広い機会も用意されています。
ラグビーコートやネットボールコート、各種体育用具、スペシャリストルーム、改装された校内ホール、図書室など、充実した学習設備が整っています。
