Brockwood Park School was founded on the understanding that the whole movement of life is learning. Education at Brockwood is not limited to the accumulation of knowledge, but is concerned with helping young people understand themselves, others, and the world in which they live.
At the heart of the school is a learning environment without punishment or reward, without grades, comparison, competition, or prizes. Instead, students are supported to discover a genuine interest in learning. Each student is assisted in creating their own programme of studies that challenges and extends them, while encouraging initiative, responsibility, and care in their work.
Students are encouraged to take on projects, develop portfolios, and explore subjects deeply. At Brockwood, we wish to ensure that young people throughout the world are able to participate in the unique educational experience offered here. We recognise the importance of providing bursary assistance to deserving students who otherwise would be unable to attend the school and we are committed to finding annual funds for this purpose. Bursaries are not based on academic performance but are means-tested and depend on the financial circumstances of the family. In the first year, up to 50% may be offered by the school and in exceptional circumstances this offer is raised. For our returning students, there are more bursaries available and offers are sometimes raised.

Life at Brockwood extends beyond the classroom and includes a wide range of extra-curricular activities that support the development of the whole human being. Students are encouraged to explore creative, practical and physical interests through activities such as music, art, drama, dance, sports, yoga and other clubs and workshops organised throughout the year. These activities offer space for collaboration, creativity and enjoyment, while strengthening relationships within the school community.
The school’s location in the South Downs National Park also provides many opportunities for outdoor and nature-based learning. Within Brockwood’s 40 acres of parkland and gardens, students take part in practical human ecology activities such as gardening, caring for plants and the grounds, and developing a deeper awareness of the natural environment. Walks in the surrounding countryside and outdoor activities are also a regular part of school life.
All these activities are closely connected with the sense of community at Brockwood. Students share certain responsibilities that contribute to the care of the school environment and to living together considerately. In this way, activities beyond the classroom become another way of learning about cooperation, responsibility and relationship.

Brockwood Park School is set within 40 acres of parkland and gardens in the South Downs National Park in Hampshire, providing a peaceful and inspiring environment for learning and living. The campus combines historic buildings with dedicated spaces for academic study, creative work, and community life.
Students learn in small classes that encourage dialogue, inquiry, and close interaction with teachers. The school also provides specialised spaces for creative and practical activities, including an Art Barn for visual arts, a Music Studio for individual practice and group work, and areas for project-based learning.
The campus includes a library and study areas that support independent learning, as well as a computer room with internet access. For physical activity and wellbeing, students have access to an indoor gym and movement studio, a football pitch, and an outdoor tennis and basketball court.
The surrounding grounds are an important part of the school’s facilities. Gardens, open green spaces, and nearby countryside offer opportunities for outdoor learning, walks, and nature-based activities.

Because the school places great importance on its educational approach and community life, admissions focus on dialogue and mutual understanding rather than purely academic selection.Families typically begin by submitting an application through the school’s admissions portal and providing relevant information such as school reports and written statements of intent. After the application has been reviewed, prospective students and their parents are usually invited to two online interviews with some of our staff members and students. Whenever possible, families are encouraged to visit Brockwood Park to experience the atmosphere of the school and meet students and staff. This helps the prospective student gain a clearer sense of daily life and learning within the community.As Brockwood is a small international boarding school with a limited number of places, each application is considered carefully. The aim of the process is to ensure that the student feels comfortable with the school’s intentions and that Brockwood can provide the environment in which the student can grow, learn, and take responsibility for their own education.
Minimum Enrollment Duration
This school requires a minimum enrollment of 12 months, ensuring students have adequate time to benefit from the curriculum and educational experience.
