Penarth is a really peaceful place to live, the Pier is lovely. In Cardiff you have access to everything you want and can have real international experiences. Westbourne has given me a good perspective on life.
Studying at Westbourne had several advantages. First of all, the classes are quite small which allows the teachers to give more time to each individual so that they get more out of the class time. Secondly, the location of Penarth gives students a quieter place to study but is still close enough to Cardiff, so the benefits of a big city are still available. Thirdly, the boarding house is a useful opportunity to newcomers as it is close to the school and the community is helpful in overcoming the homesickness most people feel when they first leave home.
Westbourne is a whole big family, everyone cares about each other no matter what kind of person you are! In Westbourne, you will never be alone.
I couldn't ask for better house parents. I settled in really well here and was accepted as if I've always been here.
We want to express our gratitude for taking such great care of Cien this past year and provide him with the guidance and mentoring to help him meet his true potential. With your help, he has gained a level of maturity and work ethic which will ensure he will thrive at University. We know he has really enjoyed his time at Westbourne and the friends he has made.
