Established in 1987 The Lady Elizabeth School aims to provide an enriching, learning-focused education of the highest standard which allows our pupils to achieve both success and experience failure in a safe and supportive environment.
The school offers a British curriculum foundation with older students sitting examinations at GCSE and A-Level in a wide variety of disciplines. Pupils are also afforded the opportunity to complete the Spanish Graduado and Bachillerato, allowing LES graduates to matriculate in tertiary institutions both here in Spain and globally. LES pupils have gone on to study in several different countries and the school is promoting strong connections with the growing list of alumni.
Our staff, pupils and parents share the fundamental expectation of a positive attitude to learning. We nurture our pupils, encouraging them to develop a ‘Growth Mindset’ to ensure they become resilient and persevere in the face of challenges.
Happy, respectful, internationally minded pupils, staff and parents are the core of our community. We support our pupils and staff to constantly get better and improve themselves. We do this as a team, without exception.
Our vision is to develop lifelong learners who are able to thrive in a world of change and opportunities.

LES has been my second family since 2011, when I arrived to Spain knowing little English. During these years our school has helped me gain confidence in public speaking, provided me with amazing opportunities, such as meeting the President of the European Union of Women, and valuable knowledge. With the experiences that I have gained at Lady Elizabeth I am now ready for my next chapter in my academic career!
Looking back to when I started at The Lady Elizabeth School in 2013, I remember that my English skills didn’t exceed the basics and that I had no particular interest in music whatsoever. Six years onwards, I am about to start a Music degree alongside English literature at university thanks to the right support, the right guidance and the positive influence I received during my secondary school years.
Changing my form of education from home-schooling to attending LES, was one of the best decisions that my parents made. This school has given me the opportunity to overcome and accept my dyslexia; I´ve had amazing support from my teachers and being at LES has given me confidence and always encouraged me to go the extra mile. Everyone at LES has welcomed me for who I am. Seeing how the Tritones association in the school, which cares for the environment, has evolved allowed me to see how teamwork can really make a difference. An experience that I will never forget!
