Pembroke House is one of Kenya’s leading British Curriculum co-educational Preparatory Schools. We offer a first-rate educational experience for children aged 2 to 13 in 155 acres of the stunning Kenyan Great Rift Valley. Our rural location is easily accessible just two hours from Nairobi and little more from Nanyuki. In addition to serving the Kenyan community we welcome children and families from all nations to our truly international community. Here at Pembroke we’re now celebrating our 90th anniversary since our establishment in 1927. We offer full boarding but with a modern, responsive approach in order to support our parents and children the very best we can. Our recent UK Inspection rated our Boarding Provision and the Personal Development of our pupils as “Outstanding”. This ties in perfectly with our Pembroke ethos, which is to provide children of all abilities the opportunity to achieve their true potential. Although academic excellence is forever a high priority, here at Pembroke Drama, Music, Sport, Art and Personal Development are all seen as an integral part of genuine learning. We love to see our children succeeding wherever they show promise, whatever those avenues may be.Pembroke has an experienced and fully committed staff who make the happiness, well-being, security and personal development of each child their very own priority every term. Our unique atmosphere and wonderful environment, coupled with the fact that we are a small school, all mean that our staff know each child on a personal level and help them flourish in a home-like, caring and nurturing environment. Pembroke children are encouraged to explore and take risks. This is the foundation of a happy childhood and we encourage our children to climb trees, play in the forestry and make the most of our fantastic facilities to broaden their childhood experience. In the process they develop a respect for each other and their surroundings and learn to take responsibility for themselves. The Pembroke boy or girl is well-rounded, personable and motivated not only to progress to their senior school of choice, but to give their very best to the world. I encourage you to come and visit our special school and can assure you of a warm welcome and an unforgettable experience.
