Our 1st grader attended the school for one month only, but we saw the great results in English language, communicative skills and discipline. Thank you! We enjoyed this experience a lot!
After just a few months of attending GVS, my daughter has developed tremendously both academically and socially. The teachers and all the staff are amazing and we are so grateful to them for their hard work and great teaching and caring skills. Thank you!
My first grader is doing absolutely amazing at GVS. We turned a two month holiday into an entire school year to stay at the school. The teacher has such a gently way of teaching that the kids don't even realize they are learning. It is the way all first graders should be taught.
Our son, 6yo, had a break from his Finnish pre-school for 2 months at GVS. In this school it's about the children! The school community, including the teachers, volunteers, and the kids, is open and warm. They made our son, special needs and all, feel welcome and inspired since day one. He learned a lot and gained heaps of self-confidence from this experience.
It's a great place with lots of project and play based learning. They work with the level of each child. It's a very warm and supportive environment with clear limits too. A nice blend of local and international children. Good communication with parents. We felt very welcome at the school and were kept in the loop so we could work together with the school to help our girls with any issues that arose. A lot of schools have fancy websites about innovative approaches to learning but deliver very traditional desk based delivery with the teacher droning 'facts'. Global Village are the real deal and aim to help kids to think for themselves and to develop a genuine love of learning.
