All teachers and even the headmaster know every single student's name. DIS is a small school and that makes close relationships between teachers and students.DIS offers a very warm and welcoming environment. The teachers and staff are friendly and it feels like one big family. I also like the diversity of the after school activities provided by the school. Any concerns or questions are answered quickly.DIS offers a research-based curriculum and allows the students to reach their full potential with infinitive opportunities. By staying in an educational environment where students have team projects and presentation-requiring classes, students acquire the ability to think critically.
I have been at DIS for 8 years and think it is a great school for students, because our teachers are experts in the subjects that they teach. They help us learn well and teach us with great effort. When I first came to this school, I did not know how to speak any English. However, now I speak English fluently. Also, our school has great technology and we use it for studying, as students should these days.I was a student here 5 years ago, left, and came back last October. I can say with confidence that DIS is a very academically high-achieving and supportive environment where students from any background are welcome. The school itself is clean and inviting. The teachers have a positive demeanor and answer students' questions to the fullest of their abilities. Also, the school has a wide variety of fun classes. This is my third year at DIS and I don't regret a single second transferring from a Korean school. The teachers helped me reach my potential, that I know I wasn't going to experience in other schools. The kids here are energetic and enthusiastic about what they are doing as well. The curriculum here at DIS since enrolling 8 years ago is very creative, thought provoking and will give us the resources needed to graduate and become productive citizens. Also, the school has a wide spectrum of after school activities, which students can enjoy without paying more tuition fees. Most importantly, I am growing as a person and as a student.
