Following an extremely successful run at the Economics Olympiad in Zurich, Estudantes do ELA, Michael C. and Martin C., were selected to participate in this years’ International Economics Olympiad hosted by Latvia.
The International Economics Olympiad is an event that occurs over the course of a week, with the goal of recognizing talented young people in the field of economics. This year, the Olympiad ran from July 26 – August 1, and challenged students to complete a financial literacy simulation, answer multiple choice and open questions about economics, and present a business case.
In the group competition for the business case study, the Swiss Team consisting of 4 Team members—Michael and Martin among them—won gold.
This is historically the best result Switzerland has achieved at the International Economics Olympiad, and we could not be more proud of Michael and Martin for showing great sportsmanship and representing our country so well.
