Prem Grade 4 working with Artist in Residence in creating a great production

Prem Tinsulanonda International School’s Artist Residency Thailand Programme welcomes inspiring artists and practitioners, who have achieved success in their respective fields, from around the world to spend time working with students and staff at Prem.

In February 2018, Prem’s programme Artist Residency Thailand was delighted to work in partnership with the London Theatre of the Year, the Almeida. Jordana Golbourn is the Almeida Academy Director and was working at Prem with both Junior and Senior school students. At the heart of this project were a series of daily workshops with our Grade 4 students, exploring what it’s like to be a young person in a world managed and ruled by adults. Coming from the point of view of the students, the workshops were exploring how students would do things differently if they were in charge of the planet, as well as investigating the areas of life where children simply have a better grasp of what’s important when compared to their adult counterparts.
After working with Jordana Golbourn for one week, Prem Grade 4 students have produced a brand new piece of devised theatre. Please enjoy watching a short filming of this engaged learning experience.
