De school heeft een lange weg afgelegd sinds de openingsdag in 1988, toen het als de eerste internationale school in Vietnam zijn deuren opende voor vier studenten. Parents of students enrolled at the United Nations International School of Hanoi (UNIS Hanoi) are required to pay tuition and fees as detailed in the Tuition and Fees section.
