De International School of Flanders bestaat uit twee campussen: Waterloo en Tervuren. We richten ons op kinderen van 2,5 tot 18 jaar. We zijn geaccrediteerd door CIS (Council of International Schools), BSO (British Schools Overseas) en COBIS (Council of British International Schools) en zijn een geregistreerd Cambridge Exam Centre. We bieden kleine klassen, individuele aandacht en gedifferentieerd leren. In het basisonderwijs volgen we het internationale curriculum voor het basisonderwijs. In het secundair onderwijs (jaar 7 t\/m 9) volgen leerlingen een curriculum gebaseerd op het nationale curriculum van Engeland en Wales. In jaar 10 t\/m 11 volgen leerlingen een tweejarig IGCSE-programma van Cambridge en ons curriculum (jaar 12 t\/m 13, A-level) richt zich op leerlingen van 17 t\/m 18 jaar en bereidt hen voor op de universiteit.<\/p>\n
Onze gemeenschap is echt internationaal en we omarmen individuele verschillen, culturen en religies. We stimuleren bij leerlingen de waarden van begrip, samenwerking, eerlijkheid en respect. We geloven dat het opbouwen van het zelfvertrouwen en de eigenwaarde van een kind van het grootste belang is. ISF is een Google for Education-school. Al onze leerlingen hebben toegang tot Google-leermiddelen via Chromebooks, tablets en Clevertouch-borden. In our Primary sections, we follow the International Primary Curriculum, which is an internationally-minded, thematic-based curriculum that encourages students to develop their ability to learn and acquire the skills needed to become life-long learners.
