TASIS The American School in Zwitserland, opgericht in 1956 door M. Crist Fleming, pionier op het gebied van internationaal onderwijs, is een dag- en kostschool die zich inzet voor de vorming van wereldburgers door middel van onderwijs, reizen en dienstverlening. TASIS verwelkomt leerlingen van de kleuterschool tot en met de masteropleiding. Jaarlijks studeren er ongeveer 750 leerlingen op de basisschool, middelbare school en middelbare school, waarvan er ongeveer 260 op de campus wonen. De leerlingenpopulatie vertegenwoordigt jaarlijks bijna 60 nationaliteiten en spreekt meer dan 30 verschillende talen als moedertaal.<\/p>\n
Middelbare scholieren kunnen kiezen uit individuele Advanced Placement-cursussen of het International Baccalaureate (IB)-diploma behalen, waarmee ze de afgelopen vijf jaar aanbiedingen hebben ontvangen van honderden uitstekende universiteiten. Elke zomer reizen honderden studenten in de leeftijd van 4 tot 17 jaar naar Lugano voor de TASIS-zomerprogramma's. Any student graduating from TASIS The American School in Switzerland has earned, at a minimum, a standard US-accredited High School Diploma and can expect to gain admission to quality universities, particularly in the United States. Students who are driven to find a home at one of the world\u2019s most selective universities can do so by pursuing an International Baccalaureate Diploma or by taking a number of Advanced Placement courses and scoring highly on the corresponding exams.
