La Garenne is een van de oudste internationale scholen van Zwitserland. Meer dan 75 jaar na de eerste leerlingen, biedt LGIS nu onderdak aan 150 jongeren van 5 tot 18 jaar. Onze eerste IB Diploma-leerlingen studeerden in 2023 af. LGIS, opgericht in 1947 en in handen van de tweede generatie van de familie Mean, heeft de afgelopen 75 jaar de eerste leerlingen van de onderbouw verwelkomd. Er zijn nu 180 jongeren van 4 tot 18 jaar. De middelbare school is zes jaar geleden geopend en sindsdien hebben we twee IB Diploma-afstudeercohorten gehad.<\/p>\n
LGIS ligt in het hart van de Zwitserse Alpen, op een hoogte van 1300 meter boven zeeniveau, en combineert een intensief academisch programma met talrijke en gevarieerde buitenactiviteiten het hele jaar door.<\/p>\n
LGIS is een geaccrediteerde IB World School. De opleidingen omvatten het International Primary Curriculum, de IB Middle Years en Diploma-programma's en het La Garenne High School Diploma.<\/p>\n
Met skipistes voor de deur kunnen studenten optimaal genieten van onze schitterende locatie. Bovendien biedt ons veeleisende programma in het buitenland studenten de mogelijkheid om hun studie aan te vullen met Service as Action-projecten.<\/p>\n
Alle internaatskamers op zowel de basisschool als de middelbare school hebben een eigen badkamer. Voor leerlingen die nog niet klaar zijn voor een volwaardig internaat, bieden we een integratieprogramma aan dat al na een week kan duren. De meeste leerlingen die aan het integratieprogramma deelnemen, schrijven zich permanent in. Naast ons schooljaarprogramma bieden we ook zomer- en winterkampen aan, die jaar na jaar overvol zijn.<\/p>\n
