Pr\u00e9fleuri is een exclusieve internationale kostschool in de Zwitserse Alpen voor kinderen van 3 tot 13 jaar. Sinds 1948 is Pr\u00e9fleuri een liefdevol thuis voor vele kinderen, waar ze het allerbeste krijgen op het gebied van onderwijs, sport en levensethiek. Pr\u00e9fleuri houdt nog steeds een sterke traditie van zorg en onderwijs voor kinderen van over de hele wereld in ere. Pr\u00e9fleuri leert kinderen zelfstandig, diepgaand en creatief te denken en is volledig betrokken bij de nieuwe wereldmaatschappij die ontstaat. Pr\u00e9fleuri biedt haar kinderen de mogelijkheid om acteurs te worden in een wereld waar communicatie de basis is van alle onderlinge relaties en evolutie. Pr\u00e9fleuri is een traditioneel houten chalet, gelegen in een priv\u00e9park van twee hectare, omgeven door ongerepte bossen en traditionele landbouwgrond. Onze klassen zijn klein; onze leraren zijn gespecialiseerd in persoonlijke begeleiding. Sportieve, culturele en andere buitenschoolse activiteiten vullen de Zwitserse ervaring van onze kinderen aan. We verwelkomen ook leerlingen voor winter- en zomerkampen met intensieve taalcursussen. Pr\u00e9fleuri gelooft in kindgericht onderwijs, met de nadruk op de ontwikkeling van de hele persoon, en in de introductie van een vreemde taal op jonge leeftijd. Met deze doelen in gedachten wordt een kind bij Pr\u00e9fleuri stap voor stap begeleid en aangemoedigd om het zelfvertrouwen te ontwikkelen dat nodig is om een verantwoordelijke burger van de toekomst te zijn en zijn eigen leven positief vorm te geven. We moedigen onze leerlingen aan om hun cultuur en tradities te delen met hun klasgenoten. Door verschillende codes en gewoonten te ontdekken, verwerven ze een openheid die de tijd nooit zal uithollen. Bij Pr\u00e9fleuri is het leren van Engels en Frans gegarandeerd. Aziatische leerlingen worden op natuurlijke wijze drietalig. Tweetaligheid bij Pr\u00e9fleuri betekent het behouden van iemands wortels en cultuur, maar tegelijkertijd ontvankelijk worden voor verschillen. Ons academisch programma volgt de offici\u00eble Engelse en Franse curricula; daarnaast bieden we onderwijs in moedertalen zoals Chinees, Japans of Russisch. Een kind heeft de energie en het leervermogen die die van een volwassene ver overstijgen, die zich in dezelfde situatie vaak moe zou voelen. \nThese clubs take place after lessons in the afternoon.
\nStudents enrol at the beginning of the term and can participate in a range of artistic activities or sports: horse riding, painting, dancing, drama, swimming,animation, pottery, football
\nMusic and singing are an integral part of the school curriculum at Prefleuri. Teachers introduce basic notions of song and music during class time, based on the abilities and age of their pupils.
\nEvery child has the opportunity to take private music lessons during their schooling at Prefleuri. A qualified music teacher offers tuition in piano, violin and guitar.
