De Internationale School van Schaffhausen (ISSH) is een plek waar leerlingen zich thuis voelen, ook ver van huis. De internationale dag- en kostschool staat bekend om zijn familiaire sfeer. De school ligt in het noorden van Zwitserland, op 35 minuten van de luchthaven van Z\u00fcrich. De ISSH streeft ernaar jongeren optimaal te ontwikkelen. Levenslang leren, zelfvertrouwen en openheid zijn niet alleen woorden, maar waarden en houdingen die ISSH-leerlingen hun hele leven bijblijven en een sterke basis vormen voor hun succes. Schaffhausen is een kleine, veilige en charmante stad die veel te bieden heeft aan leerlingen en hun families. Meer dan 40 nationaliteiten zijn vertegenwoordigd in onze leerlingenpopulatie, van kinderen van 3 maanden tot jongvolwassenen die afstuderen aan ons diplomaprogramma. Deze diversiteit aan culturen, talen, religies en ervaringen cre\u00ebert een leer- en leefomgeving die zeer rijk is aan perspectieven en waar zorg en respect voor elkaar essentieel zijn. Naast de expats en internaatleerlingen heeft de ISSH ook veel leerlingen uit de lokale gemeenschap, die het internationale aanbod van de school waarderen.<\/p>\n

Onze docenten zijn goed gekwalificeerd, ervaren en zeer enthousiast en gepassioneerd over hun specifieke vakken en de schoolervaring in het algemeen. De kleine klassen bieden meer tijd voor individuele aandacht, waardoor onze medewerkers een sterke band met elke leerling kunnen opbouwen en kunnen inspelen op verschillende behoeften.<\/p>\n
De faciliteiten van ISSH zijn eersteklas. Leslokalen, laboratoria, mediacentra, sport- en culturele locaties zijn uitgerust met de nieuwste technologie. De leslokalen zijn ruim en gebruiksvriendelijk en beschikken over een volledig netwerk met laptops en iPads voor studenten.
\nEr zijn uitstekende sportfaciliteiten op de campus en in de omliggende wijk Schaffhausen. Het ruime terrein beschikt over weerbestendige ondergronden en een goed uitgeruste gymzaal van normale grootte. As an IB World School the ISSH has a long-standing history with the International Baccalaureate programmes that will open doors to universities across the world. The two-year IB Diploma programme is acknowledged as one of the world's leading educational programmes and is recognized by over 60 countries worldwide. The IB is designed to meet the needs of international students, both mother-tongue English and EAL (English as another Language).
