\nThanksgiving-vakantie: Normaal gesproken wordt deze dag gevierd op de vierde donderdag van november. Black Friday, de dag na Thanksgiving, is meestal ook een feestdag.
\nKerstvakantie: Kerstavond en 23 december zijn op de meeste scholen feestdagen. Deze vakantie duurt meestal tot 1 januari (Nieuwjaarsdag).
\nHerfstvakantie: De herfstvakantie duurt meestal een week of twee in september of oktober en wordt niet in alle delen van het land genomen.
\n– Wintervakantie: De wintervakantie duurt meestal een week in februari of maart, en omvat onder meer President\u2019s Day.
\nVoorjaarsvakantie: De voorjaarsvakantie valt een week in maart of april en omvat ook de paasvakantie.
\nZomervakantie: De zomervakantie duurt 10-11 weken, meestal van mei tot en met augustus of van juni tot en met half augustus. De data voor de zomervakantie vari\u00ebren per regio en staat.
\nAndere feestdagen: Sommige scholen vieren ook religieuze feestdagen zoals Goede Vrijdag, Joodse feestdagen en islamitische feestdagen. Onafhankelijkheidsdag, Labor Day en Columbusdag behoren tot de andere feestdagen die in de VS worden gevierd.<\/p>\n
