Goede IB -scores – zoals bij eventuele academische kwalificaties – zijn subjectief en zijn sterk afhankelijk van de doeluniversiteit van een student (en het land) en de voorkeurscursus. Alle IB -studenten moeten minimaal 24 punten scoren voor zes vakken. De gemiddelde IB-scores door de jaren heen zijn vari\u00ebren van 28-30 punten. <\/p>\n

Top Amerikaanse universiteiten zoals Harvard en Yale vereisen dat kandidaten ten minste 36-38 punten scoren om in aanmerking te komen voor plaatsing. <\/h2>\n

Het kwalificatieproces wordt opgevolgd met de beoordeling van leiderschapskwaliteiten, sportieve onderscheidingen en andere niet-academische prestaties. Prestigieuze Britse universiteiten zoals Oxbridge kunnen prioriteit geven aan nationale normen zoals IGCSE, boven IB -scores. <\/p>\n

Aan de andere kant kunnen sommige particuliere universiteiten een medische cursus bieden voor 27 IBDP -punten. <\/p>\n

Een goede IBDP-score kan echter in het algemeen worden ge\u00efnterpreteerd als een score die kansen cre\u00ebert om lid te worden van een fast-track systeem binnen een vooraanstaande universiteit. Straight 7s in 3 HL -onderwerpen kunnen bijvoorbeeld kandidaten kwalificeren voor de geavanceerde status van Harvard, waar studenten bepaalde introductiecursussen kunnen omzeilen en een jaar eerder kunnen afstuderen dan hun collega’s. <\/p>\n

Hoewel studenten de hoogst mogelijke score van 45 IBDP -punten kunnen behalen (wat zich vertaalt naar 1% van de totale IB -afgestudeerden), kan universitaire toegang uiteindelijk worden beslist door een uitgebreide analyse van het potentieel van een kandidaat (d.w.z. sociale bijdragen en participatie) en de relevantie van IB -kernonderwerpen. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
