概要
ウェンドーバー・オンライン・スクールは、2016年にイギリスで設立されたオンライン専門の学校です。6歳から19歳までの生徒を対象に、イギリスのナショナルカリキュラムに基づいたYear 3からAレベルまでの全課程を提供しています。IGCSEやAレベル、AS、SAT、IELTSなどの試験準備にも対応しており、8カ国籍の生徒約80名が在籍しています。
授業はすべてオンラインで行われ、少人数制クラス（最大6名）または完全な1対1のマンツーマン指導から選ぶことができます。50名の教科専門教師がライブレッスンを担当しており、柔軟な時間割によって個々の生徒のニーズに合わせた学習計画を組むことが可能です。エリートアスリートとして競技と学業を両立している生徒も在籍しており、遠隔地に住む家庭や頻繁に移動する家庭、自宅学習を希望する家庭にも対応できる環境が整っています。
年間の学費はGBP 9,000から17,000程度で、選択する授業内容や指導形式によって異なります。英語が授業言語となるため、英語力が必要ですが、IELTS対策も提供されていることから、英語を母語としない生徒の受け入れも想定されています。

Live lessons take place via Microsoft Teams, accessed through any standard web browser or the Teams app. No specialist equipment is needed, a laptop or desktop computer with a camera and microphone is sufficient. Students receive their timetable and lesson links directly from the school. All lessons are conducted in real time. There is no recorded content library and no asynchronous coursework portal. Wendover is a school, not a platform, and its technology reflects that. The emphasis is on the interaction between teacher and student, not on the tools that facilitate it.
