概要
Smart Schools Internationalは、2014年にアメリカ・アリゾナ州ギルバートを拠点として設立されたオンラインの中学・高校です。13歳から19歳の生徒を対象とし、現在48カ国から約2,400名の生徒が在籍しています。授業はすべてオンラインで行われ、アメリカの認定カリキュラムに基づいてアメリカ高校卒業資格（ディプロマ）を取得することができます。APやSAT、PSATなどの試験にも対応しており、世界各地の大学への進学を目指す生徒に適した環境が整っています。
学習は自分のペースで進められる柔軟な形式を採用しており、スポーツに取り組むアスリートや、頻繁に移動する家庭、遠隔地に住む家族、または自宅学習を希望する家庭にとって現実的な選択肢となっています。認定を受けたアメリカ人教師やアドバイザーによる個別サポートも提供されており、生徒一人ひとりの状況に応じた指導が受けられます。スタッフと生徒の比率は4対1と手厚い体制です。
学費は年間350米ドルから3,500米ドルと幅があり、経済的な負担を軽減するための奨学金制度（Global Vision Scholarship）も設けられています。英語による共学制のプログラムに加え、スペイン語カリキュラムや特別な教育的ニーズへの対応も行っており、多様な背景を持つ生徒を受け入れています。入学は随時受け付けています。
