Wahlfreiheit: Die Sch\u00fcler folgen ihren Interessen und profitieren von einem breiten Angebot an M\u00f6glichkeiten zum Entdecken und Experimentieren. BIS offers three continuous programmes within the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IB) curricular framework. This organisation was founded in Geneva, Switzerland in 1968 to address the needs of students whose families moved often and changed educational systems frequently while doing so. Today, the IB is one of the fastest growing curricula in the world and includes more than 5800 schools in 160 countries, with more than 2 million students.<\/p>\n
Our school is the only school in our region to offer a comprehensive IB programme starting in Early Learning (age 3) and continuing through to Grade 12.<\/p>\n

Our Co-Curricular Programme offers students new ways to experience success, make new friends and explore their unique talents. Our programme spans everything from the arts to sports, languages to political debating clubs. More than 85% of our students participate in one or more co-curricular offerings.<\/p>\n
Students participate in sports and activities during lunchtime, before and after school as well as during school holidays. Some sports and activities run all year long, others run for a season (three seasons per academic year). Some offerings incur a fee.<\/p>\n

School fees cover all curricular day trips and many offerings within the Co-Curricular Programme. Also included are use of individual iPads up to (and including) Grade 7 as well as all learning materials and instruments needed for instruction.
