Sie bietet ein breites und anspruchsvolles akademisches Programm, eine Reihe von au\u00dferschulischen Aktivit\u00e4ten und ein starkes Seelsorgesystem, das alle Facetten der Pers\u00f6nlichkeit jedes Sch\u00fclers entwickelt, damit diese ihren Platz in der Welt als selbstbewusste, f\u00fcrsorgliche und ehrgeizige Individuen einnehmen k\u00f6nnen. Die Schule wurde 1958 gegr\u00fcndet, um Roms Expatriates und die internationale Gemeinschaft zu unterst\u00fctzen. Der Hauptcampus befindet sich auf einem 14 Hektar gro\u00dfen Gel\u00e4nde im Norden der Stadt. Ein weiterer Campus der Junior School befindet sich in der N\u00e4he des Vatikans im Zentrum Roms. Die Mehrheit der Lehrkr\u00e4fte an der St. George\u2019s sind britische Staatsb\u00fcrger. Eine kleine Anzahl von Lehrern kommt auch aus anderen englischsprachigen L\u00e4ndern, darunter den USA. Sie verf\u00fcgen alle \u00fcber einen Universit\u00e4tsabschluss, viele \u00fcber h\u00f6here Abschl\u00fcsse und alle \u00fcber eine postgraduale Lehrbef\u00e4higung.<\/p>\n<p>Die Sch\u00fcler von St. George\u2019s repr\u00e4sentieren 92 verschiedene Nationalit\u00e4ten. Viele Familien haben Verbindungen zur UNO und zur diplomatischen Gemeinschaft. Der j\u00e4hrliche Abschlussjahrgang besteht in der Regel aus 75 Sch\u00fclern. Die durchschnittliche Klassengr\u00f6\u00dfe f\u00fcr Sch\u00fcler im IB-Diplomprogramm betr\u00e4gt 14 Sch\u00fcler.<\/p>\n<p>Obwohl die Schule stark an einem britischen Lehrplan und britischer Tradition mit Englisch als Unterrichtssprache orientiert ist, ist sie in vielerlei Hinsicht international. W\u00e4hrend in verschiedenen Phasen des Lehrplans eine breite Palette an Pflicht- und Wahlf\u00e4chern unterrichtet wird, stehen Mathematik, Naturwissenschaften, Englisch und Fremdsprachen stets im Mittelpunkt des Lehrplans jedes Sch\u00fclers.<\/p>\n<p>Ein umfangreiches au\u00dferschulisches Programm mit \u00fcber 200 verschiedenen Clubs und Aktivit\u00e4ten erm\u00f6glicht den Sch\u00fclern die Teilnahme an einer Vielzahl von Angeboten \u00fcber den Lehrplan hinaus. Es gibt zahlreiche Clubs f\u00fcr kreative und darstellende K\u00fcnste. Zu den Sportmannschaften geh\u00f6ren Rugby, Fu\u00dfball, Basketball, Hockey, Volleyball, Leichtathletik und Tennis. Weitere Clubs sind Model United Nations, Philosophie, Programmieren, Design, Umweltbewusstsein, LGBTQIA+ und der Sch\u00fclerrat.
