Prem Tinsulanonda International School in Chiang Mai Thailand is committed to a notion of education for creativity and one of the primary ways that the school does that is through its programme Artist Residency Thailand which brings in high-quality creative practitioners from around the world.
From 14 September to 12 October 2018, Prem Grade 5 students’ residency engagement with artist Gabrielle Tesfaye transformed them into fully fledged filmmakers. The students undertook a month-long project, exploring literacy and themes relating to human trafficking and the exploitation of natural resources through the lens of animation.
Below are short videos of the project process and the first edit of the Grade 5 animation created via the residency collaboration.
